The success of the Reformation depended on the courage of heroes such as Martin Luther or John Calvin. But it would be a mistake to believe that these people succeeded alone. In each case we find out that these people had made key encounters without which their endeavours would have probably failed. Olaus Petri is rightfully known as the hero of the Reformation in Sweden. Yet even his work would have been in vain without some key people he met in his life.
